I just ran across Trumbo (2015) on Netflix and I have to say; It’s a pretty damn good film. It’s also strange to me how little things have changed since then. It’s insane to me that not only is McCarthyism emblazoned permanently in historical record, but the fact that we haven’t learned shit from it is duly noted. It’s really unfortunate.

Another damned good one is Don Verdean (2015). I think both of those films cover different aspects of confirmation bias and cognitive dissonance that still wreak havoc on society to this very day.

Things to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.

• The people in our lives who make us feel things no one else can.
• The sigh of relief coming from D.C. with Biden taking office.
• A Coronavirus vaccine is on the way.
• Happy and healthy kids.
• The promise of open borders and traveling once the virus subsides.
• A future borne from hard work and maximum effort.

All these idiots squawking about the COVID vaccine being “the mark of the beast” are clearly not educated on Revelations. You’re just repeating shit you hear from others, you’re not reading or investigating individually, and it pains me that you people exist.

In the case of faithless electors, I think it’s time we put together a list of names and addresses of the electoral college at present. They need to know they will be held accountible if they do not vote how we want them to. If anyone knows how to get this list, drop me a line so I can post that sumbitch up here and help ensure that our democracy is preserved without some rich asshole stealing the election from us.

I feel a need to publicly effuse about where I am in life right now. In the midst of being a parent, being a career-minded person, and just being myself; There is one aspect of my life eclipsing and enhancing everything else. I am completely and fully in love. I’ve found in someone my intellectual better, incredibly generous, optimistic, empathetic, hilarious, fun-loving, and just so amazing. And-the-sex-oh-my-god. I’ve found my soulmate. I don’t just know it. I feel it deep in the fiber of my being. I’ve found someone to give myself completely to, that enthralls me to share life with, that I can expose the complete depths of myself to. Words fail me in enumerating what I feel right now. It feels so vast and encompassing and yet as incredible a sensation as it is; not intimidating at all. I’m going to marry this woman, my woman, my best friend, my partner for life and soulmate, and there is no hesitation. I love you, Amber. I’m by far not the only person who realizes what an incredible human being you are, but I’m the person who gets to complete you. That is an incredible source of pride for me, because I don’t know anyone who gets to share in what we share.

The anxiety is running high. We’re careening headfirst into the next chapter of this nation, and the next few days will determine whether we begin to heal as a nation or we continue to scratch our heads in wonder at how people can unapologetically support fascism and the destruction of our constitution. It’s also really interesting when people call descriptions such as mine ‘hyperbole’ when constitutional scholars are aghast by Trump’s time in office. But that’s the lowest common denominator; the one with no respect for their betters. The fool who dropped out of school in the eighth grade and thinks he knows better than doctors, refusing to wear masks, asserting his ‘rights’ everywhere and that everyone else are merely sheep.
