The “Republican Message” as transmitted to the poor assholes who carry them every election is very distorted. It has to be in order to make sense to the intended recipients. But to anyone with a handful of braincells left, the message is very easy to decipher. Take the whole second amendment gripe. “You need a gun in order to defend yourself from a tyrannical government.” That’s the official party rhetoric for the impoverished masses to consume. The truth is that the wealthy party members want the right to shoot anyone who dare try and remove their wealth, mostly taking aim at all of the poor, including Terry and Nancy in the trailer park with their “Trump 2020” sign. Even if you’re in a middle class home and you’re making a “decent living” for yourself, you’re not exempt from their ire.

Politics
I never wanted to get into politics, I’ve enjoyed abstaining for a long time. It had only become complicated when pieces of legislation like the Digital Millenium Copyright Act managed to sluice through the cracks and fuck up my life. Yes, this act directly effects me. Yes, it’s detrimental to my lifestyle. It’s detrimental to my data aggregation habits.
In any case, I’m voting for Bernie for some pretty damned decent reasons. He’s totally opposed to the Trans-Pacific Partnership; a horror-show of 7,000 pages dedicated to NAFTA-esque freebies for exporting U.S. jobs. Bernie also supports net neutrality. Why would he support net neutrality, you ask? Nearly all the momentum that has propelled him in this election originated from free and democratic access to the internet. The idea that I should have to pay extra to AT&T or Comcast for people to access my Twitter feed at a reasonable speed is not only asinine, it’s unconstitutional.
Obama
It still amazes me these days that there are some out there who are vehement proponents of Barack Obama. I can only attribute to these people that denial is the strongest emotion they’re capable of mustering. Denial is the only thing a person can hold on to when faced with the harsh reality that he’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing. I’m going to gather a few points that blast solid democrats out of the water.
Obomney 2012
This facebook thread made me giggle a little. I have as friends some really hard pro-Bama people, and it’s interesting to see what flits across my facebook from day to day. I despise the Republican party for a lot of the reasons I despise Obama. They’re old-fashioned, backed entirely by greedy corporations, and favor iron-fist control over the people when it comes to security- not just at home but abroad as well. For reference, here are the links mentioned in the thread:
