It’s been a minute since I’ve made an update. Figured I’d take a whack at it and see if I can still bang out text blurbs nobody reads.

Home ownership is a lot. It really is a lot. You have to make sure every appliance is working, because any appliance failure could cost you more than the amount to replace the appliance itself. For example, dish washers and other washing machines can leak, which will fuck up your walls and floors. You can’t have a moldy frame in your house, that shit is dangerous. If the subfloor rots, you can fall in.

It’s crazy to me how people can make terrible life choices and then just ignore the consequences of their actions. Like buying dogs while renting from someone and not informing your landlord. So you’re too afraid to report things that need attention, and you end up just making the situation worse. It’s crazy, right? Why wouldn’t you just fucking suck it up and tell the landlord? I mean, unless the property is “no pets allowed”, which it would just be stupid to get pets in that instance.

In any case, when you own your own home, you have to tend to that shit no matter what. If you don’t, you’re literally losing home value.

I’m incredibly grateful to have a partner in life that’s smarter than I am. She knows all of these things and she’s very much capable of working with me to stay on top of it. My wife is the best. I’ve never had a relationship this fulfilling before. She ticks all my boxes, so much that I had to marry her ASAP. She’s the best.

Alright, I gotta go do other stuff, but hey- at worst this serves as a proof of life. Eh?
