These rat bastards. I swear. So, I’m not musically inclined in the least, I don’t know the notes of a piano or anything like that, so I get to rely entirely on technical prowess. The problem is the only tools I have in my toolbag for audio analysis are like twenty years old and are very rigid kinds of tools that are used for in-depth processing tasks where you know what the fuck you’re doing right away and you’re not a total dolt.

So I threw this piece of shit at the FFT. Wound up with a couple plots and there were some prominent peaks all along the spectrograph. I had to move piece by piece and each “note” had several prominent peaks, not just one, and most had more than two prominent peaks. I tried throwing the first peaks, then most prominent peaks, then combinations. Also omitted registers. I’ve tried everything and I feel nothing but annoyed, honestly.

I’m also very stoned and overthinking it, which is a really weird mix.
