Anomolous

I’ve purposely kept myself out of the loop recently when it comes to the world of “Anonymous”. A movement that began with no clear intention or motive, degrading to a slogan to wear “For the lulz”, and spiraling into obsolecense; It’s something my life can do without. This will be my last post dedicated to the analysis of the Anonymous fad and it’s largest adherents.

  1. Keep in mind that the hand that feeds will bite, and it will bite hard.
Anonymous membership has no dues, no fees, no banner or flag, and even the most immoral degenerates can claim the “momevement” for their own. That said, know what you’re getting yourself into when you don the Fawkes mask. Realize that cohorts can turn on you just as easily in this movement as they would without a common cause. I can’t tell you how many butthurt members have screeched “Not your personal army” until they themselves are subject to attack, and subsequently find themselves yelping and whining about their predicament.

Manycam Prank

I used to run Wordpress a while back, and on that Wordpress blog I posted one of the funniest Manycam pranks I’ve ever seen. Surprisingly, I was the one who did this. I had a habit of using 1-guy-1-jar for my pranks, and I’m pretty sure that’s what I was showing this guy. Epic stuff. Without further ado, my foray into making hate to people’s eyes (aside from wearing skimpy swimwear).

Manic Scramble

I don’t really have anything “World Important” to blog about today. What is important to me at the moment is securing any sort of employment at all that I can continue owning and operating a vehicle and at least living a little close to the lifestyle I’ve become accustomed to. I’ve been scrambling to apply to any and every job opening within a thirty mile radius. If anyone out there has any tips at all, they’re greatly appreciated.

Blogging Simplified

Jekyll is an excellent “simple, blog aware, static site generator”. It allows you to use special shorthand syntax like Textile, Maruku, or other markup syntaxes to quickly and easily generate static blog content. The resources available on the internet for using Jekyll to blog are downright plentiful, and the tool itself is incredibly flexible.

The first thing you’ll have to do is grab a Jekyll layout from a current Jekyll blog. They’re all over the place, and nearly every one I’ve seen has been excellent. Choose what looks good to you. The markup supported is so easy that you can manually edit each layout easily to make it suit your own requirements. You’ll also find a plethora of information on how to include Disqus and other features you may require for your blog. Make it as complex or simple as you please. The nice thing is that you’re less likely to experience server-side scripting problems, since the platform generates static HTML. No SQL or PHP locking down required. Just generate your content and you’re good to go.

Economic Musings

Obama Economy

Democrat
(n.) A corporate slave.
Republican
(n.) A corporate slave.

I think we’re entirely missing the point when the discussion is turned to “Democrat Vs. Republican”. Citizens shouldn’t be forced into believing there are no alternatives. Life really isn’t “Black or White”, so why do so many feel that our government is exactly that? The answer is fairly simple; Corporations puppet both sides. When a Republican wins, corporations win. When a Democrat wins, corporations win. Eventually, if this government is going to be stabilized and sustained, it will require the creation and popularity of a third party- a party for the people. I believe this party should be explicitely barred from receving campaign contributions from non-individuals. The person chosen by this party as a presidential candidate should advocate balance in government, treating individuals as if they were more important than corporations. This is something that nearly everyone in government can readily admit does not happen often, if at all.

Jekyll

I’ve completely fallen in love with Jekyll as a blogging platform. I might create a few more websites or write my own Jekyll template, depending on free time and my mood in the next two weeks. If I’m able to find employment that gives me a moment’s peace, I’ll definitely forge forward with the awesomeness that is a Jekyll tutorial, because I think everyone should get to know this stuff. It’s fun, flexible, and worth investing a little time to research. I’ll drop a link to it in another post some time today.

Frantic

If anyone happens to know where I can find an oasis of jobs, just drop me a line if possible. It appears that there really aren’t a whole lot of options out there. It’s getting a little frustrating, seeing as how I have bills and shortly will not have a means of paying them.

Anyway, any and all help available is greatly appreciated: [email protected]. Thanks.
